I remember well buying and reading the novel The Horse Whisperer by late British author Nicholas Evans. As I adore horses I was excited to read a tale about ailed horses who could be cured by a ‘horse whisperer’, which I knew nothing about. All so intriguing! I first read The Horse Whisperer in 1996
