Here are some writing resources I have found useful:
Writing Magazine – a very helpful magazine packed with all things writing aimed at the published and unpublished writer. It gives you various markets for the possible sale of your work. They also have monthly competitions, which include poetry, all sorts of writing genres. It also has a problems page and readers letters.
Writers’ Forum – very similar to Writing Magazine, packed with competitions a very reputable magazine.
The Writers Bureau – famous for the various home study courses, again all things writing and the publishing industry. They also run creative writing competitions.
The best way I have found of guaranteeing a copy of any of these magazines is to simply take out a subscription. Not all newsagents stock specialist magazines.
