I dug this book off my shelf recently and I was glad I did. Then again, I am a big Michael Connolly fan!
I came across this in Writers’ Forum magazine (Dec 2018). A novel-writing competition, sponsored by Your Cat magazine. The first prize is a three-book deal. The genres can be romance, fantasy, historical, thriller or a Christmas story! But get this, there has to be a cat in your story! Yes, you have read right, be sure your novel features a feline to qualify for the competition!
The competition is open to new writers only (unpublished), however your manuscript must be assessed by an editorial service first.
The deadline for this competition is 28 February 2019! Not a great deal of time, would obviously suit someone whose manuscript is READY!

All the best of luck!
Greetings from London! Where did that super hot summer go? Autumn now seems to be looming very quickly! However it’s the perfect time to do more reading! It’s what the long dark evenings are made for!
Happy 2018 – Gosh where did 2017 go? Let’s hope the NEW YEAR is starting with a bang for you! While I am on the subject of starting January 2018 with a bang, here is my favourite Martina Cole book. Yes, that British crime writer who started her career 26 years ago with the bestselling novel Dangerous Lady.
This was an interesting and altogether curious read. Although I have heard of the author Sharon Bolton for sometime this is the first book I have read.
I don’t know about you but I can trace my interest in creative writing right back to childhood. Considering I am let’s just say, way out of my teens… that’s a long time ago! Continue reading “Creative Writer – Origins”
Hello, back again. Hope you have been making the most of the longer of evenings with plenty of writing and reading. Which brings me nicely to the latter. Continue reading “Adam Croft, Her Last Tomorrow – A Book Review”
